Happy...VE Day!

Happy…VE Day!

Its that event that the whole year builds around, celebrated far and wide by countless families across the world, that excites little boys and girls more than any other night of the year. Its VE Day! To shamelessly cash in on the massive surge of web traffic that the date always generates at that time, Goats In The Machine has decided to cash in with a VE Day episode on Dead Snow.

In our feature length commentary of the cult Nazi zombie film we look at what innovations Tommy Wirkola has brought to the idea of the zombie, just how much of the beasts in Dead Snow is zombie and how much is Nazi, and why snow is such a good background to stage copious amounts of blood on.

But crucially we ask a question that has plagued mankind of eons. What would you rather cut off with a chainsaw; your arm or your penis?

Seriously though, if you got bitten by a zombie and had to amputate, would you rather chainsaw off your own arm or your own penis? Let us know in the comments  below!

  1. I have to tell you about the experience I had watching this film at a midnight showing.

Our local cheapo movie theater had just put in a digital projector when my buddy and I went to see this on Halloween. The place was packed and we were all excited about seeing Dead Snow, what with hearing how awesome it was. Well, the movie started but the audio didn’t. At first it was like “oh, okay so it starts quiet.” But then actors started talking with no voice. Subtitles were there, but no voice. So some dude in the back starts reading the subtitles, with different voices for each actor. At one point, somebody drives off on a snowmobile. There’s a pause as Voice Actor Guy doesn’t have anything to read, so he starts making motor noises. The place erupted in laughter. It was, and is to this day, THE best experience I ever had watching a movie.

    • That does sound like the best movie experience ever!
      Where did this happen?
Its great how you clearly just went with it instead of being annoyed you weren’t getting what you came for. Good on you!
