Niall “before Zod” Heseltine and RJ Bayley take an unsteady step into the second Marvel Screen Universe outing, The Incredible Hulk. We discuss Marvel’s early unease at distancing themselves from the Ang Lee film Hulk, who is the most handsome of men, and I drink so many fizzy drinks I set a podcast record for belching and feel very sick by the end. Before you listen to this, I’d like you to bear in mind that for Niall and my last podcast in this series, I was awarded “Podcast Quote of 2014 by internet superhero mogul, Eyes Skyward.

I think I was taking Batman Forever as seriously as Joel Schumacher was taking the Batman franchise during the making of this podcast. To be fair to myself, and to a lesser extent Niall (but only because he was drunk to a lesser extent than me) needed an awful lot of alcohol to get through this movie.

On this episode our discussion of Superman III leads us to talk about wolf-poo coffee, the completely aimless, shambolic nature of the plot, the achievements of Richard Pryor in the field of drug taking and the Salkinds punitive measures against Margot Kidder.

Not enough? OK, how about discussion that takes in obvious early 80s boobjobs, Evil Superman‘s paucity of ambition, an adult revelation of what the junkyard sequence is, Lester’s comedy at the expense of the blind and the awkward interrogation of Niall over which Superman love interest he’d rather “knob”?
